About us

The story behind A.M.N Academy is a personal passion to share my own educational experiences with my students and families. As a young child, I remember struggling in school due to my speech delay and being an ESL student. I embraced my primary language because it was how I was raised. My mother being a native speaker, and having to raised 5 children on her own, encouraged us to learn English, but to never forget our Spanish tongue. I worked extra hard to master both languages and continue to find ways to thrive as an individual. When I became a parent myself, it made me see life differently. Now, it was no longer about me, but about us. My perspective in life changed even more when my son got diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, and a speech impediment. Soon after, my daughter got diagnosed with Dyslexia, and my youngest is being evaluated for autism spectrum disorder and currently attending speech therapy. My own children have taught me to see the world not just a planet, but as a global phenomenal. Even before A.M.N Academy existed, I was already facilitating a unique bunch of little minds, my own children. I want to share everything I have learned as a parent of neurodivergent children, as an educator, but also as a student. I continue to further my education and always find ways to learn something new. We will be holding each other's hands and walking side by side as we overcome our challenges and succeed.

Our Approach to Neurodivergent Learning

A.M.N ACADEMY OF NEURODIVERGENT addresses the specific needs of neurodivergent students by providing personalized learning plans, sensory-friendly environments, and strategies that leverage their strengths. Our approach differs from traditional tutoring by focusing on understanding and accommodating individual learning styles rather than adhering to a one-size-fits-all method. We strive to create an inclusive and empowering educational experience.
